Hello,

I love computers, technology, and tech gadgets. I love working with hardware, invention, tinkering with gadgets, and hacking things to make them better—so one day I created Mikegyver.com.

The one thing that put us on the “map” (so to say) was that way back when Apple invented the MagSafe connector, I was the first in the world to create a pure DC power solution for it. All other solutions involved using an inverter, and if you know me (from my blogs), that’s a really inefficient way to power your MacBook. One might say we’re a bit of a “green” company.

Those early innovations set the tone for everything we do today.

We now offer a full line of 12V DC power solutions for Apple devices, including Mac Mini and Apple TV upgrades, DIY kits, and custom builds for people living and working off-grid—in RVs, boats, remote sites, and everywhere in between.

But we didn’t stop there.

We’ve expanded into Mac Mini rentals, giving developers, engineers, and creators access to dedicated Apple hardware with full admin control—either remotely or even as 12V-powered mobile systems ready for real-world, off-grid deployment.

On top of that, we take on custom tech challenges—from unique power conversions and cable builds to 3D printing, laser engraving, and one-off projects. 

We’re not a huge company—but we have a huge desire to build things that matter. 

Nothing makes my day better than hearing from customers all over the world who rely on these solutions in real, meaningful ways. Whether it’s powering a rig in the middle of nowhere or enabling someone to work remotely without limits—that’s what this is all about.

What started small has grown—and we’re just getting started.

P.S. What’s Mikegyver? It’s a play on that ’80s show where MacGyver could get out of any situation by inventing and hacking together solutions from whatever he had on hand (don’t worry, we’re not blowing anything up here).
