Remote Mac for Xcode — Rent a Dedicated Mac for iOS Development | Mikegyver
Remote Mac for Xcode — Build, Sign & Ship iOS Apps Without Owning a Mac
Rent a dedicated Mac Mini for Xcode builds, iOS development, and code signing — accessed remotely from your Windows, Linux, or existing macOS machine. Real Apple Silicon hardware, hosted in the USA, with full admin access.
Why iOS & macOS Developers Rent a Remote Mac
Xcode only runs on macOS. If you're developing on Windows or Linux, or you need extra build capacity beyond your primary Mac, buying a second Mac just for builds is expensive and often unnecessary. Renting gives you the exact same native Xcode environment without the upfront hardware cost.
Full Xcode, Swift, SwiftUI, and Interface Builder — running on real Apple Silicon, not a VM.
Manage certificates, provisioning profiles, and code signing identities just like on a local Mac.
Archive, validate, and upload builds directly to App Store Connect from your rented Mac.
Run Fastlane, xcodebuild scripts, or self-hosted CI agents on a dedicated always-on machine.
QA your web app or software across Safari and macOS without maintaining separate test hardware.
A dedicated build Mac starts at $599+. Rent one from $67 bi-weekly and only pay while you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install Xcode on the rented Mac?
Yes. You have full admin access and can install Xcode directly from the Mac App Store or Apple Developer portal.
Can I sign into my Apple Developer account for code signing?
Yes. You can sign into your personal Apple Developer account for code signing and provisioning. Note: signing into iCloud/Find My Mac on the admin account is restricted — see our service agreement for details.
Can I submit builds to App Store Connect?
Yes. You can archive, validate, and upload builds directly from Xcode on your rented Mac.
Can I run Fastlane or other CI tools?
Yes. You have full admin access to install Homebrew, Fastlane, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, and other common iOS development tools.
Will builds be as fast as a local Mac?
Build performance depends on the project size and the Mac Mini configuration you rent. The M4 handles standard projects well; the M5/M6 is recommended for larger, more complex builds.
Can I use this for a CI/CD pipeline?
Yes. Since the Mac stays online 24/7, it can serve as a self-hosted build agent for CI/CD workflows.
Is this a virtual machine or real hardware?
It's a real, dedicated physical Mac Mini — not a VM or emulator. This ensures full compatibility with Xcode and Apple's build tools.
Can I log into iCloud?
Yes, for general use (Drive, Photos, Notes sync). You must not enable Find My Mac or Activation Lock on the admin account, as this can permanently lock us out of our own hardware. Full details are in our service agreement.
